First up is Secret Historian by Justin Spring. This guy was making gay cool before gay was cool. It's a biography folks so don't expect Harry Potter to show up. This is the closest we have gotten to a history of gay America.
I'm also listening to a very scary novel by Guillermo Del Toro and Chuck Hogan. I was a bit stand off-ish with this one at first because I've just about had my fill of vampires. I happened upon a promo code for a free audio book and boom i figured since it was free i would give it a shot.
It's called The Strain. It's about vampires that don't want to make love or win your heart. These vampires want to kill you. They want to butcher all the nice people of New York City. It's part post-9/11 paranoia coupled with Nazi/Vampire horror sprinkled with fairy dust. Basically it rocks.
